Dear Good People of Saint Patrick Parish:

As we begin our Stewardship Renewal Process for the new year 2012-13, I take this opportunity to thank you and to ask God's blessing on you for the inspiring, varied ways in which you have offered your time, talent and treasure in the past year. It is not difficult to assess the accomplishments achieved in recent months. They are all around us -- and most importantly they are within us -- as we grow in our relationship with Christ, with each other, and bring Christ to others. We have experienced joyful times and painful times as a family of faith. The greatest blessing is that we have been together throughout each of them.

I am excited about what God has in store for us in the future. Our theme for this year places our trust in the work of the Holy Spirit ... Our Family. Our Journey. The Next Chapter. As we live in gratitude, it is worth our time to pause and remember the faith, the sacrifices, and the commitment of those who came before us. It is due to their discipleship that we are obliged to continue the good work begun through them.

Christian Stewardship is more than making a commitment. It is about making choices as individuals and as a family of faith. We make choices to be faithful disciples of Christ and His Church so that we are intentional about how we use our time, talent and treasure for the benefit of all - those within our parish community and extended to the men, women and children beyond our neighborhood who need our charity, support and prayers.

Please join me in a grateful response to Christ's redeeming love. And please know that I love you, honor you and pledge my life to you. I am blessed to be your pastor, brother and friend.

Devotedly yours in Christ,

Rev. Fr. Martin A. Linebach
